Nearly six in 10 (56%) Americans seek or want mental health services either for themselves or for a loved one. However, many of these individuals are low income and have a military background, and struggle to find help. How is the need currently being served and where is there a gap?

In 2017, an estimated 1 in 8 Americans were food insecure, equating to 40 million Americans including more than 12 million children. Children who experience food insecurity are at a higher risk of developing asthma, struggling with anxiety or depression, and performing poorly in school or physical activities[LA1] .
